About Us

Established in 2007, DanceArtists Ballet Academy is an internationally registered school with The Royal Academy of Dance.
Director Joanna Duncan a member of the International Dance Council UNESCO, Paris whose members are the most prominent federations, associations, schools, companies, and individuals in over 170 countries.

We offer exceptional training programs taught by qualified dance faculty in a positive studio environment where happiness promotes our dancers development.

We are a non-competitive classical ballet training academy where mutual respect and encouragement in a positive environment is the standard.  At Danceartists we recognize that, while today's dancers require versatility, it is with the understanding that classical ballet is the absolute foundation of high achievement in dance and, as such, our ballet programs give great attention to the training of age appropriate ballet biomechanics for dance development and longevity.  Musicality and artistry are integral to detailed training and go hand in hand with our pristine technical biomechanics.

  

Our class sizes are small to ensure that each student receives individual attention in their training.  Our sanitized large 47 x 29 ft studio with Wi-Fi is equipped with state of the art Marley ® sprung floor system, full length wall mounted mirrors, remote control sound and computer systems, large display screens, Swiss made IQ ® hospital grade air purification systems, and hands-free Purell ® Sanitizing Stations.  Large comfortable waiting area with large capacity parking area right at the door in a quiet and conveniently located, open tree studded location right next to White City Shopping Plaza.  Central heating and air conditioning year round.  Spacious student bathrooms stocked with soap and towel dispensers.  We strive to provide safety and happiness for our students, families, and faculty.

We teach in classroom and also online simultaneously from our state of the art studio with Zoom conferencing.  All of our registered students have choices of in-person and/or virtual training or both.  Regardless of the weather our classes continue smoothly all year.  We are fortunate that our Administrator is an IT specialist and brings his expertise to Danceartists.

We care about our local community and partner with charities like Project Smile by giving performances at fundraising events. Through these important performances our high school students also fulfill their yearly community volunteer hours requirements.   

Our comprehensive dance programs include The Royal Academy of Dance Children's Ballet and Character Examination Syllabus and the Advanced Vocational Examination Syllabus through to Solo Seal.  We have entered our students in the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations for over 30 years with consistently outstanding examination results, so our expertise in teaching Ballet is backed by the established proof of our students' long history of excellent results over all these years.  We love seeing our students excel!

Ballet Classes for Pre-School Children aged 3 - 4 with our young Children's specialist Teacher Tina Marshall are an absolute joy.  The carefully structured teaching program develops coordination, musical awareness, sensory awareness, imagination and is a perfect preparation for Ballet.

Aerial Arts training extension programs opportunities taught by Hybrid Movement Company's youth training program based in NYC by Francoise Voranger.

 

We are one of only a handful of Ballet Studios in the USA, whose students have qualified 3 years in a row through their High Distinction marks in the Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 2 Examinations, for the prestigious International Fonteyn Awards (previously Genee Awards).  Pearl Madnick was awarded the $5,000 Darcey Bussell Travel Scholarship in 2019.  Students who train with Danceartists have found success in many ballet and dance companies including Royal Ballet London, American Ballet Theatre, Australian Ballet, Hybrid Movement Company, English National Ballet, Hamburg Ballet, Christopher Harrison's Antigravity, Cirque du Soleil and many more.  Many wide ranging ademic careers are achievable because detailed ballet training over the years helps develop individual intellectual ability to focus and apply the mind in many areas of study.

Some of our students who have attended aerial acrobatic training with Francoise Voranger have performed at NYC Lincoln Center, NY City Center, Marquiss Theater  Broadway, Toyota Oakdale Theater, NYC World Maker Fair, Brooklyn Museum of the Arts with Hybrid Movement Company.

 

Every student at DanceArtists receives the same detailed caring dance training on the Ballet worlds most recognized established Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus and Vaganova Syllabus training programs in our caring environment.  Whether your child wants to pursue a career in dance, or learn dance for the sake of learning this most exquisite art form, here at Danceartists every student is offered the exactly same level of expertise in dance training.   

 

Royal Academy of Dance Teachers are known as the most up to date qualified teachers of dance in the world.  We are required to complete the RAD Continuing Professionals Development Courses each year.  This is why you know with confidence that a registered Royal Academy of Dance teacher has the most up to date knowledge of teaching dance.  Only qualified RAD Teachers can enter their students in the Royal Academy of Dance Examinations.
